Copper care

Wash and immediately dry your copper pieces after every use — this is the single most important step. When not dried right away, trace chemicals in tap water can react with copper and cause spotting. Some people enjoy the matte patina that builds over time; others prefer to keep the original shine. Both are fine — and both are easy to maintain.

To restore shine, polish with Wright's Copper Cream, Pennybright, or a combination of lemon juice and salt. For the interior of water vessels, fill with water and add the juice of a few lemons or a cup of vinegar plus a tablespoon of salt — let sit overnight, then rinse thoroughly with mild soapy water to neutralize any residual acid, and towel dry completely.

• Hand wash only — do not use a dishwasher
• Do not use steel wool or scouring pads on exterior surfaces
• Dry immediately and completely with a cotton towel after every wash
• Polish with Wright's Copper Cream or lemon and salt to restore shine
• Re-tinning is available for cookware when the tin interior wears over time

We ship through UPS, USPS, and DHL depending on package size and destination — most domestic orders go out via USPS for smaller items and UPS for larger ones. Please allow 3–5 business days for us to process and prepare your order before it ships. We're a small team and we take our time to pack things right. We don't ship on weekends.

Need it fast? Expedited shipping is available at checkout, including UPS 2-day delivery. Place your order before 10am CST and it ships the same day — otherwise it goes out the following business day. Note that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Every return requires prior approval before anything is sent back — reach out to support@marterraelements.com to get the process started. Items must come back unused, undamaged, and in their original condition with original packaging intact. Return shipping is at the customer's expense. Proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Received something damaged? Let us know right away at support@marterraelements.com. To process a claim and get a replacement out to you as quickly as possible, we'll need photos of the damaged item, the item as it sat inside the box, all six sides of the outer box, and the shipping label. Without these, we're unable to move forward with a claim.

Something missing from your order? Before reaching out, give the packaging a good look — we pack with recycled paper and smaller items can get tucked away in there. If it's genuinely not there, email support@marterraelements.com within 10 days of receiving your order and we'll make it right.

Package showing as delivered but nowhere to be found? Contact support@marterraelements.com immediately and we'll open a carrier investigation on your behalf. Please note that once a carrier marks a package as delivered, we are no longer able to issue a replacement or file a claim — so reach out as soon as something seems off.
